These heroes included Defence Minister Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, Environment Minister Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, and key officials including Alhaji Limuna Muniru Mohammed, Dr. Samuel Sarpong, and Mr. Samuel Aboagye, along with Air Force crew members Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manaen Twum-Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.

A solemn National Inter-Faith Memorial Service was held at the UPSA Auditorium in Accra to mark the anniversary, drawing together bereaved families, military, and top government officials.
