Image
If you want to start your New Year with colour, celebration, and pure energy, there is only one place to be on 1st January, Winneba . While everybody is still sleeping after 31st Night, Winneba is already awake. Drums, brass band, costumes, masks. This is the Winneba Masquerade Festival, locally called Fancy Dress. It is the first major festival in Ghana every year. And it is the second biggest festival in Winneba after Aboakyer. There is a morning in Winneba that does not feel like any other morning in Ghana. By 7am, you can hear it. The brass band far away. The drum, shouting and the crowd. If you are in Winneba on that day, you cannot stay in your room. The sound will drag you out. I remember the first time I followed the sound. I thought something had happened. I thought maybe there was a funeral. But when I reached the road, I saw something I had never seen before. Men wearing masks. Big, colourful, scary, beautiful masks. Some looked like animals. Some looked like old white men ...

I Was Not Expecting Sarkodie To Report Me To The Police--- Stonebwoy

Stonebwoy has for the first time revealed the basis of the resentment he harbours towards Sarkodie after they fell out months ago prior to Sarkodie’s Black Love Concert.

Stonebwoy said Sarkodie is always ready to protect his brand thinking his own supersedes every other artiste in Ghana.

Stonebwoy made the headlines for the wrong reasons when he assaulted Sarkodie’s manager, Angel Town aka Angelo. This was because the Dancehall act felt disrespected that he was being delayed to go through with his rehearsals while artistes like Shatta Wale whom he arrived at the venue before was allowed to perform.

What also angered him was the fact that he was prevented from packing at a particular spot, yet he saw his rival Shatta Wale being allowed to pack at the same place. The report shocked everyone in the sense that Stonebwoy is not used to resorting to violence to express himself, unlike Shatta Wale.

Moreover, it looked improbable that a bulky looking Angelo could be beaten in that manner as the news projected, accompanied by a bruised face of Angelo, photos of which also appeared online.

In this new interview, Stonebwoy said he wasn’t expecting Sarkodie to report him to the police owing to the ‘tight’ friendship they have which is why he’s very much annoyed with him.
